This dress is super cute and the style was exactly what I was looking for. But when I got it home and tried it on, the fit was crazy.
There is a layer underneath which fit snug throughout my body as it should. The outside/velvet layer, however, seemed to have a lot of excess material. I thought maybe it was because it shouldn't lay straight but instead have that tucked-in/loose/baggy-at-the-waist look that is popular and cute now. I tried manipulating to achieve this look, but it didn't work. I could almost get it to look cute from the front view, but in the back, where the zipper ended there was a massive bulge on the back over my booty. Most dresses with zippers have some degree of awkwardness at the end of it, but this was a little (a lot) much.
I ordered it in a small, I have plenty on my backside, and it fit snug everywhere else so it wasn't a matter of it just being too big.
Positive notes: It's not as short as it looks on the super tall model. The length was not offensive at all and was actually just right to achieve a bit of sexy without being inappropriate for your holiday party or whatever event.
It had so much potential! Due to easy returns, if you're interested in this dress, it might be worth it to give it a try to see if it works better for you. Just be sure to have a backup plan.
